Water Sharing | Mediator
Successfully mediated innovative agreement to share water during drought periods in Northern California. Parties included cities, counties, state, and tribal government, agriculture, and environmental interests.

Energy Transition Dialogue | Facilitator
Facilitate environmental advocates and the California legislature and governor’s administration representatives to explore policy solutions to climate change with emphasis on the clean energy transition. With about 35 participants, topics have focused on transmission, rising energy costs and affordability, and achieving California’s climate goals.

Sea Level Rise | Facilitator
Facilitated 35 San Francisco Bay Area government, nonprofit, business, environmental justice, and community leaders to develop a regional framework to adapt to sea level rise. The Bay Adapt Joint Platform is a consensus-based strategy to protect people and the natural and built environment from rising sea levels.

Water Supply + Dam Removal | Mediator + Facilitator
Engaging with coalition of tribal and state government, water, conservation, and energy leaders to remove two dams to restore fisheries while providing water supply to adjacent watershed. Currently, providing facilitation to two efforts: one which CA Department of Fish & Wildlife and Round Valley Indian Tribes has convened on water supply and fisheries and another which Pacific Gas & Electric has convened on the hydropower dam decommission.

Governance Structure | Designer
Worked with staff and members of the International Hydropower Association to design and recommend governance structure to launch independent sustainability standards organization. The goal is to implement consensus-based standards so hydropower can be sustainable resource during the energy transition. Recommendations included a series of decisions in a road map to manage funding and other instrumental steps to launch the new organization. The board-embraced the approach.

Bioeconomy Scientists' Collaboration | Facilitator
Designed and facilitated initial convening of five teams embarking on a five-year research effort to expand science, technology, and engineering available for the use of future feedstocks in bioproduction, creating new economic and environmental benefits. The teams successfully explored interdisciplinary research and cross-team collaboration among the five research teams working across the U.S.
